A Microsoft Access append query enables you to append the records from one table to another table. The data that is appended to the table is based upon a certain selection criteria. An error message might occur when you execute an append query, which can make the table inaccessible. To get the table data back, you need to restore the table from an updated data backup. If there is no such backup, you need to use a third party application known as Access Recovery software. Such software can easily recover your critical Access database objects like tables and put you back in business.
When a user executes an append query, he encounters the below error message:
“Microsoft Access can’t append all the records in the append query.
Microsoft Access set 0 field(s) to Null due to a type conversion failure, and it didn’t add
Do you want to run the action query anyway?
To ignore the error(s) and run the query, click Yes.
For an explanation of the causes of the violations, click Help.”
The main reason for the above error message is that the user might have enforced Referential Integrity on a table that contains Memo and Self-join fields. To resolve the above issue and access the table, the user needs to move the Memo fields into a separate table or change the Memo fields to Text fields and then use a 1:1 relationship.
Another major reason for the above error message can be corruption or loss of that particular table. In such situations, the user needs to restore the table from a recent backup or otherwise use effective Access Repair software.
